Day-By-Day Itinerary

  1. 1

    Day 1

    Arrive midday. Blind walk-through, decoy layout plan, and scout for next morning.

  2. 2

    Day 2

    Pre-dawn decoy spread. Shoot until limit or morning bite stops. Afternoon field hunt.

  3. 3

    Day 3

    Final morning — fresh spread on a new hole. Depart after the shoot.

Gear & Equipment Checklist

  • 12-gauge semi-auto or pump — modified and full chokes
  • Steel or bismuth shot: No. 2–BB for geese, No. 2–4 for ducks
  • 5mm neoprene waders for flooded timber and ag holes
  • Full-camo outer layer — no shine, no contrast in the blind
  • Duck and goose calls (guide coaches on calling in the blind)
  • Blind bag with hand warmers, gloves, and shooting glasses
  • Hunting license and federal migratory bird stamp with HIP number
  • Ear protection
